Purpose of Essay

I worked on this essay as a guide specifically focused on Phase 2 on how Afropolitan can scale to 75,000 Monthly Transacting Users (MTU) in one year. Where MTU is defined as a user who uses the Afropolitan app to perform any transaction in a month.

P.S. 75,000 MTU is an assumed figure and can be altered based on feedback.

Please note that this essay breaks down the steps Afropolitan can take after the app launches and when it has decided to scale. And is best applied after the product has been decided to have post product-market fit.

Having a certain level of product-market fit is a prerequisite before scaling can occur, as without it new users would churn from the app.

The primary way to check product-market fit would be to consider the app’s retention rate. For consumer financial products, a 30-day retention rate of about 70% and a 6-month retention rate of about 30% is good.

<aside> 📌 Where Retention Rate, is the percentage of users who experience the UVP of a platform and come back to perform a transaction/target event after 30 days, 6 months, or a decided time frame.
